Happy New Year, everyone! I want to take a moment to sincerely thank each of you for your incredible support, feedback, and enthusiasm throughout the past year. Your presence has truly made Califorgillicious an exciting and rewarding journey, and I’m thrilled to have you along for the ride in 2025. I hope my shenanigans continue to amuse, inspire, and perhaps even challenge you throughout the coming months.
So, without further ado, let’s dive right in! Here’s a rundown of some exciting updates, happenings, and behind-the-scenes fun I’ve been working on to kick off this year:
1. Califorgillicious Wrapped 2024
2024 was quite a year for Califorgillicious, and I’m still in awe of the amazing journey it’s been. According to Spotify, this podcast was listened to in 25 countries, which is honestly mind-blowing! From the youngest listeners tuning in from Brazil to the more seasoned ears in Italy, it’s been so rewarding to see such a diverse range of listeners enjoying the show. Thank you all for making this happen! One of the standout moments of 2024 was the episode that really took off: S01E08 - Psychoanalysis and the Occult. This one was streamed 113% more than the average episode—and let me just say, I’m so glad you all enjoyed that one. It’s fascinating how diving deep into the mysterious intersection of psychology and the occult sparked so much interest. I promise there are more unexpected topics like this coming your way in Season 2. As I was reflecting on the stats, it also blew me away to see that 40 of you had “Califorgillicious” in your Top 10 shows of the year, 33 of you in your Top 5, and 14 of you made it the #1 show you listened to! That’s unbelievable, and I am incredibly grateful for all your support. You are the reason I’m so motivated to keep creating and experimenting with this show. Here’s to more mind-bending, hilarious, and just downright fun episodes in 2025.
2. Preparing for Season 2: Analogue Future
While I’m taking a short break between seasons, Season 2 is already in the works, and let me tell you—it’s going to be epic. I’m giving the show a bit of a visual and musical revamp, and I can’t wait to share it with you. Visually, I’m paying homage to the iconic 1980s TV studio aesthetic—think bold colors, big hair, and that nostalgic teal-blue vibe. This isn’t just a tribute to the era; it’s a reimagination of it. I want to bring that energy, that feeling of creativity and possibility, into every episode. It’s a fresh start, a new chapter in Califorgillicious. Musically, I am revamping the theme with a touch of the vintage—yet still maintaining that unique, playful vibe that you’ve come to expect from the show. If you thought the first season was fun, get ready for Season 2: Analogue Future to push those creative boundaries even further. 3. A New Home: My Website Is Up and Running
In case you missed it, zsolt182.com is now live! It’s still very much a work in progress, but it’s already up and running, and I’m excited to share it with you. As part of the site’s updates, I’ve dedicated an entire page to Califorgillicious, where you can catch up on episodes, learn more about the show’s journey, and get sneak peeks into upcoming content. But that’s not all! This website isn’t just about the podcast; it’s a home for everything I create, from digital projects to writing, and I’ll be regularly updating it with new content, including exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at Califorgillicious.
